Badan Intelijen Negara (BIN) or Indonesian State Intelligence Agency is an intelligence agency of Indonesia. The Agency is the Indonesian non-ministerial government agencies in charge of carrying out government duties in the field of intelligence. The Agency was founded in 1945 under the name of Badan Rahasia Negara Indonesia (BERANI). The name of Badan Intelijen Negara was launched in 2000. The Agency headquartered in Jakarta and situated in Jl Seno Raya, Pejaten Timur Pasar Minggu South Jakarta. Since October 2011, BIN is headed headed by Marciano Norman, replacing Sutanto. The Head of BIN is assisted by 7 deputy, and 5 expert staff.
